STEP 1: Choosing a Script

For your convenience, we have categorized all of the scripts in our database with simple descriptions so you can pinpoint what type of script(s) you need for your website. Remember, you can install multiple scripts to one website to achieve the functionality you want, but you can only install one at a time in order to prevent any errors.

Once you select a category, you will see a list of all matching scripts. We provide you as much information as possible about each script to assist you in choosing the right one.
(Not to worry though, if the script isn't everything you wanted, you can easily uninstall it later on.)

What is a script?

A script, simply put, is the computer program that runs an entire website or any part within. Scripts are the many lines of code that provide whatever functionality you want your site to have. From something as simple as a 'Contact Us' form, to a full-fledged auction marketplace like eBay, none of these would work without scripts powering them.

STEP 2: Customizing your Script (optional)

Many scripts in our database have the ability to change the design and/or add functionality to enable you to create the perfect unique website.

If the script you have selected has custom designs and/or modifications, you are provided a simple point and click interface to choose the best design and select as many modifications as you'd like, if desired.

If we do not yet have any designs or modifications for your selected script or you'd rather install the out-of-box solution provided by the developer, you can simply skip this step altogether. Our database is constantly growing and as soon as designs and modifications become available for your script, you will be able to add them in the same one-click interface from your free installAll.net Account.

STEP 3: Installing to your Website

Once you have selected everything you would like installed to your website, you can choose whether you would like to install this to a new or existing website.

If this is for a new website, there are two things you need for people to find you on the web. The first is a domain name, which is the yoursite.com, .net, .org, etc. people type to reach your website. The second is a web host, which provides the physical storage and resources necessary for people to access your website.

If you already have an existing website, this is extremely easy. Simple enter in the FTP server information provided by your web host (contact them if you don't know it).

If you just created a new website, all of the server information required on this page should be in your chosen web host's welcome e-mail. If you do not have this information, contact your web host.

Once you're done filling in this information and we are able to make a successful connection to your server, you will be able to select the folder you would like to install your script to. If you want the script to power your homepage (i.e. when you go to mydomain.com you see the script's main page), then click the 'install Now!' button next to your Home Folder that we should have automatically detected.

If you want to install to another folder, simply navigate to the existing folder you want, or create a new folder if it doesn't already exist.

The last thing you have to do is fill out any information required by your script in order for it to work. Most fields should be self-explanatory and include hints if they are not. Please note that many of the scripts we can install require a database. We are working hard to automate the process of detecting your database, but in the meantime, you'll need to contact your web host if you don't already know this information.
